Vijay Deverakonda is ready to take the plunge into Bollywood and Anaya Panday will be his leading lady in the film, which is being directed by Puri Jagannath.
Sharing a few candid clicks from the sets, Ananya confirmed that she will be romancing the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor. “Happy, blessed and excited to be associated for a Pan-India film,” shared Ananya, who welcomed Mr Deverakonda to Bollywood with a hug.
“Ananya is eager to work with Vijay and is expected to start shooting mid-March or in the first week of April.” Vijay started shooting for this untitled film in January, after a formal pooja ceremony.
Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta have joined forces for this project as production partners. The film will reportedly be made in Hindi and all South languages. Vijay and Ananya’s film will be shot in six months in Mumbai and abroad.
Karan Johar informs that Karan’s other blue-eyed girl Janhvi Kapoor was being seriously considered.
“But Janhvi couldn’t adjust her dates, though she seriously wanted to be part of the film. It was then that Karan asked Ananya Panday (who made her debut in Johar’s Student Of The Year). And she readily agreed,” says the source.
Like Janhvi, Ananya is a big Vijay Deverakonda fan. The two did a fun photo shoot together and are now getting ready for the first schedule of the film.
Vijay has impressed one and all with his love boy act in ‘Arjun Reddy’ and will be seen in a completely different avatar in this film. Ananya is currently shooting with Ishaan Khatter for ‘Khaali Peeli’.
